Malunga nekhosi

The HKMLE Part 1 - Examination in Professional Knowledge is a difficult MCQ exam with a pass rate of 10-15% historically.

In this course, I will guide you how to study and prepare for the HKMLE Part 1. We will go through the format of the exam, the syllabus, the scope and depth of the exam. We will go through what study materials you should use to prepare for the exam, where to find them, and how to best utilize those materials. I will coach you on how to study for this exam and discuss how to prepare your mind and body for the day of the exam.

What this course is NOT -  I will NOT be spoon-feeding medical knowledge. I will also not be discussing Part 2 or Part 3 syllabus and formats in this course. I am also NOT selling study materials to you, due to copyright issues. Instead I will be pointing you where to get them for free.

For Mock Exams, please check out the Part I Mock Exam course.

Dr Timothy Yang

Founder of Pass the HKMLE

I passed the HKMLE in 2014. Before that, I graduated with honours, passed the USMLE Step 1, as well as completed the MRCS (Edinburgh) exam, and most recently my anaesthesiology fellowship exams. I have been tutoring HKMLE candidates since 2017 and the large majority of my students have gone on to pass the exams. I hope to reach more students through this course, and help more candidates pass the HKMLE.
